The Field of Miracles is a remarkable complex, being one of the first to ever join a miracle field and regular-use softball fields in one park. Since 2007, it has proudly hosted the Miracle League Baseball League each spring, allowing all people to enjoy the game of baseball regardless of their abilities.
We express our sincere appreciation to the Cullman Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism team for their diligent upkeep of the rubberized field over the past 15 years - 5 years beyond the expected lifespan. We are privileged to have the chance to show our appreciation by banding together once again, to replace this beloved field that will continue to provide countless players with continued enjoyment for years to com

The inaugural Dinner on First was held on May 14, 2016. The event benefited the proposed Connect Park Project, a concept that would impact the recreational play of children no matter their age or ability. This goal was achieved in 2018 with the opening of the Connected Playground at Margaret Ingle Park.
Dinner on First offers an opportunity for the Cullman community to come together as one to benefit something meaningful, and it provides a splendid moment in time in which residents can connect with their friends and neighbors, as well as the Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism Foundation Board members who have gone to extraordinary lengths to make the gathering a night to remember. The event features complimentary table wine as well as a full cash bar.
Stay tuned for 2024 Tickets.
We are proud to host the annual John E. Hunt Golf Tournament, raising funds for the John E. Hunt scholarship at Auburn University and the John & Elizabeth Hunt Scholarship at Wallace State Community College. Any additional funds raised will also be used for recreational scholarships for our local youth in need of financial assistance for sports.
John Hunt spent 30 years devotedly leading the Parks department, leaving a positive and lasting impression on our community with iconic landmarks such as Heritage Park, Field of Miracles, and the Cullman Wellness and Aquatic Center. After retiring from his position in 2014 he served as golf director at Terri Pines Country Club, then was employed as a consultant by the City of Albertville until his passing in 2020. We honor him with this fundraiser and thank him for his leadership and dedication to improving our area.
